Pray for Zimbabwe after Cyclone Idai

The flooding caused by the Tropical Cyclone Idai weather system since 15 March continued to cause destruction in Zimbabwe, although rains had begun to dissipate in Manicaland and Masvingo provinces by 20 March.

Bishop Ignatius visits England

Bishop Ignatius visited England for meetings in Canterbury in early February 2009.  After spending a few days in Canterbury the Bishop spent a week meeting various parishes, hospitals and other groups to strengthen the links between the faith communities in Central Zimbabwe and the Croydon Episcopal Area.

A new Bishop for Central Zimbabwe

The Rt Rev Dr Ignatius Makumbe was Consecrated Bishop of Central Zimbabwe on 10th of June 2018. Bishop Jonathan of the Croydon Episcopal Area led a small team from England to celebrate the consecration on behalf of the Link.
